My Puebloinglés Experience
I went to Puebloinglés (La Alberca - Salamanca) during October 2014.
This is a great program to learn and practice English, because it has got a great method: the same number of Spanish and English-speaking (Anglos) people join together in the same place during a week. Spanish language is COMPLETELY FORBIDDEN to use. So, if you want to communicate, you have to do it in English all the time.
The venue, few kilometres away from La Alberca, is La Abadía de Los Templarios, a resort of villas enclosed in the middle of nature, in Sierra de Francia.

Everyday I had one to one conversations with each Anglo, so I had the opportunity to meet all of them. We had also role plays, games, two to two discussions and presentations. I did two presentations; the first one about the Prehistory in Spain and the second one a sandwich recipe. After them, the Anglos gave me feedback, so I could know my mistakes and how to prevent them.
We also have an excursion to La Alberca. We spent the morning there learning about the village, which I think is one of the most beautiful towns of Spain, doing some shopping, and even having a master class of how to cut Spanish ham (jamón) with a professional carver!

I think this is a great course to improve your learning of English, specially the speaking part, because you spend literally a lot of hours talking and talking with anglos, I mean, even if you go abroad one month, you'll speak less English there than in Puebloinglés during one week. Also, it is a great way to meet people from around the world, know about their cultures and make some new good friends.
Diverbo, the company that runs Puebloinglés, has specific programs for kids and they are great because:
- They are focused as a summer camp, you meet other children from different places of Spain.
- They have lots of activities all day long, so it is impossible to get bored there!
